The San Antonio plant, located just minutes south of San Antonio, TX offers a variety of products to the Construction, Sports, and Industrial markets. Not only will you find our sand on many of the finest golf courses, equestrian, and volleyball courts in Texas, you can also find our products used in many of the construction projects around the state as well. The dedicated Industrial plant can produce over 1 million tons per year to our customers.
When it comes to LOCAL FRAC SAND needs, Superior Silica Sands plant in the EAGLEFORD is second to none. The San Antonio Frac Sand plant, located in the heart of the Eagle Ford shale, offers Superior Silica Sands a strategic edge on our competition with a capacity of 3.7MM tons per year of 40/70 & 100M frac sands. As with all Superior Silica Sands’ facilities, the San Antonio plant is a best-in-class operation that produces high quality products our clients are accustomed to receiving. The facility also boasts FIVE LOADOUT LANES – which is the most of any sand mine facility in the Eagleford. The five loadout lanes provides exceptional through-put capabilities that eliminates long truck lines and wait times. The facility also has over 19,000 tons of dry silo storage and 180,000 tons of wet stock pile storage.
Do you need Northern White Sand in the US, Canada, or abroad? Superior Silica Sands has you covered there as well. Superior has two mining facilities, Clinton and New Auburn. The Clinton facility is an all-weather state-of-the-art sand mining facility located in Clinton, Wisconsin with production capabilities of 2.4 MM tons per year. The Clinton facility is located on the Class 1 – CN rail line which makes destinations into Canada very accessible and low cost. The New Auburn plant, located in New Auburn, Wisconsin, is a virtual copy of the Clinton facility and is conveniently located directly on the Progressive Rail Short Line and connects to the Union Pacific Railroad – a Class 1 rail line. These two facilities allow for rail service to every oil and gas basin the US and Canada.
